@Dotanuki - to be fair, he may have seen a different cut of the film that wasn’t in the theaters. I’ve read reports/rumors that they made a lot of edits to the movie because of the changes in leadership sign wb.

@DaHULK2000 - you really don’t know that. Justice league the Snyder cut was different to the theatrical version, Rocky 5 also had a very different cut compared to the theatrical version. Shouldn’t assume someone is lying based on nothing. Gunn may have lied or he may have just loved the theatrical cut, we don’t know.

Don't you think your rationalization/apologetics for Gunn's blatant lying is a bit ridiculous?..and yes, we DO know gunn lied because he did exactly that. Gun was the reason they changed the movie so much in post after he was brought into WARNERS to shepard and spearhead the "retooled" DCU. He didn't want what he was doing to be tied to what had came before, he also was required to shill it (flash) as a good product, that was worth the audience's time, there are lots of instances when Gunns been caught lying...it's part of his job unfortunately.

@DaHULK2000 - I just try not to assume when there’s so much behind the scenes we aren’t privileged to knowing. It’s not me being apologetic to Gunn, never met the guy, don’t know him, and don’t even care if he did lie. He’s trying to promote a movie. I do think fans think they know more than they really do. My hope is that his version of Superman is fun, heart warming, action packed and a movie I can rewatch many times.

@epc1122 - Im no mear "fan" good brother..I'm a very astute researcher who knows a few people in and around the industry, these multnational conglomerates not only encourage dishonesty..they applaud it shamelessly. And im not refering just Warners, but "all" of them. Remember..Many of the big spoiler outlets, vehemently denied that Snyders cut of the movie even existed after it was taken away from him..(in spite of the fact that many credible leakers and other people in the know were saying otherwise years after the fact. I hope superman is great as well..but I'm not holding my breath

@DaHULK2000 - kind of proves my point where there’s a lot of misinformation and rumors so it’s hard to know what’s true and not true. Gunn very well could have lied, but we don’t know. I don’t think it’s fair to them to just assume that they’re lying. But it is what it is, certainly not going to lose sleep over it. I just know I can’t wait to see the trailer and hope the trailer gives us good insight into the film without it giving away too much.

Even if he didn’t see a different version of the movie, there were actually people who liked the flash movie, it just wasn’t the majority. To say that he lied based off of nothing is ridiculous. Not that Gunn is going to lose sleep from a fan on a message board saying this, but it shows just how out of touch fans think they know what goes on behind the scenes of a film. Unfortunately, if he did lie, it was being a salesman to help promote a movie. Even still, I wouldn’t disregard what he says about his own film and of
Course he’s going to say that his lead actor in the upcoming film is great. He’s not going to bad mouth him when he has so much riding on the film that they worked hard on. There’s a lot that goes into making a movie and unfortunately fans are entitled and think they know when they really don’t.

Also , I may just be reading too much into it but this is the second time he’s used the word “magical” to describe Peacemaker S2 which makes me think we might be going a more supernatural route with this which could be interesting.

Anyway , looking forward to both!!.

I’m not sold on Cornswet. But, I hope Gunn can make a good product. Not a super fan of what he’s done thus far but no matter what there will be people who’ll like it, and that’s all that matters.
