According to the official website, the OVA of Hyouka will be pre-aired on the official USTREAM channel on July 7th, 2012 at 24:00 Tokyo Time (stand-by at 23:50). This is the same OVA that was previously announced to be an OAD bundled with the 3rd volume of the manga planned to be released on January 13th, 2013.Synopsis: Episode 11.5 "Motsubeki Mono wa" (Something You Should Have)This story takes place between the 11th and 12th episodes of what you would call the main story.
An accident occurs at the public pool!? Eru, Mayaka, and the Kotenbu members run around the pool in swimsuits!?Staff:

Meh, just sounds like a pointless episode. Which is indeed smart that they're streaming it early since by the time they usually release pointless episodes like these, no one cares in the least.

Anyway, while I have no real interest in this OVA, I’ll end up watching it.
And for a pretty show like Hyouka, I’d rather wait than grab the stream.

Exactly what I thought...and I was wrong.
It's a surprisingly important episode. Houtarou ends up really depressed at the end episode 11 but episode 12 begins as if nothing happened (with his sister back). 11.5 fills important holes.

I was surprised too. But it came at a price though. (Eye-cancer takes time to heal)

With the manga, in January.
and the anime ended in sept of last year..

I think there would be some chance of it if Yonezawa releases a 6th book and Kadokawa wants to promote it with new animation. But the anime already gave the novels an absolutely enormous sales boost, so I don't know if they'd consider another anime release necessary at this point. They'd probably move 100k of a new novel without more anime. I also don't know if a sixth novel is even planned, as it's been almost three years since the last one. There's also the question of whether KyoAni would be interested in doing more of it when they're pretty busy with animating titles from their novel line.
So I dunno, it's not impossible but I think it's unlikely.
idc for another novel. i want an ova or anime to animate 5th volume because i dont have access to waht happens T.T
